Our Oak worktops are made up of 40mm staves for a consistent, uniform appearance while maintaining the natural features and uniqueness of a timber worktop. Wooden worktops are an excellent choice for any kitchen with no two being identical and they bring a warmth in to your room. We can offer the more common 40mm thick worktops as well as a thinner 22mm option which can bring a modern twist to our oak worktops.
Oak worktops are hardwearing and full of character. To keep your oak worktops in prime condition, they need to be oiled 3 times to the top and bottom and 5 times to any raw edges before installation and then regularly oiled to help build up their water resistance and the warm colour that they're known for. Once installed, they need to be oiled every week for the first 6 weeks and then regularly. While the oil is still fresh, it's important not to allow water to stand on the surface as this can be absorbed and damage your worktop while the moisture resistance is building up.
